Find True Freedom in Jesus
The very first verse in the Bible says:
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Look around at His magnificent creation; admire its beauty and complexity. He created it for you. God created us to have a perfect relationship with Him.
But we are all born sinners and therefore separated from God.
Today, you can choose a better life just by saying yes to Jesus. A life without any strongholds over you.
The Bible says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
“The wages of sin is death.” – Romans 6:23
“No one is righteous, not even one.” – Romans 3:10
Look around at the world today; it’s broken. Wars, famine, disease, crime, addiction, corruption, depression, abuse, death, and much more are the results of our sin.
We try to escape that brokenness by doing more good than evil, achieving success, attaining popularity, trying religion, and committing to good deeds. Or we numb the brokenness through alcohol or drugs or anything else in a desperate attempt to take our minds off the reality of our deep brokenness. There is nothing we can do…
But God, in His love, made a way of escape for us and a way back to that perfect relationship with Him!
He sent His Son, Jesus, to take our place in death on the cross and give us life.
The Bible says:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
“But God demonstrates His love for us in this, while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” – 1 John 4:9
“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus lived a perfect life, died a brutal death, and rose in victory from the dead, proving that He is the Son of God. This is the Good News – the perfect plan of God out of His love for us!
All you need to do is believe in what God has said, repent and turn away from your sins, and follow Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
The Bible says:
“Salvation is found in one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:15
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” – Romans 10:9
If you feel the call and conviction of God in your soul, you can pray to Him now and step out of brokenness into a new relationship with Him. It’s not the prayer that saves you, but it’s Jesus who saves you as he sees the posture of your heart:
“Lord Jesus: I confess my sins and my brokenness to You. I repent of my sinful ways and choose to follow You with all my heart. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You rose from the dead in victory. Thank You, Jesus, for saving my soul. I pray in Your most precious Name – Amen.”
