Explosive New Ad Exposes Ongoing Title IX Violations by CIF

California Family Council released a powerful new ad featuring testimonies from current California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) female athletes who are speaking out against the injustice, exclusion, and erasure they’ve personally experienced as a result of males being allowed to compete in girls’ sports and to access girls’ locker rooms.

In raw and emotional statements, these young women describe losing varsity spots, being pushed off of the podium, missing scholarship opportunities, and feeling unsafe in private spaces. This comes after CIF’s refusal to uphold Title IX, the federal law requiring equal opportunities and protections for female athletes.

What CIF is allowing is the erasure of female athletics. This isn’t inclusion, it’s injustice,” said Sophia Lorey, Outreach Director for California Family Council.

“Girls are being silenced and sidelined, but today, their voices are loud, clear, and impossible to ignore.”

The release of the video follows growing national outrage, including a formal Title IX complaint and investigation by the U.S. Department of Education into CIF’s practices.

Girls are watching. Parents are watching. The nation is watching.

CIF must act now to protect girls’ sports. Title IX means XX only. It’s not optional; it’s the law.
