Rededicate 250: A National Day of Prayer, Praise, & Thanksgiving

The White House and Speaker Mike Johnson are personally inviting you to join them on the National Mall on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 to worship, pray, and rededicate America as One Nation Under God (read his letter here).
On May 17, 1776, the Second Continental Congress held a day of “prayer, fasting, and humiliation” just weeks before declaring independence on July 4th. Now, exactly 250 years to the day, thousands of Americans will come together in our nation’s capital to give thanks and to ask for his forgiveness, mercy, and guidance as we enter the next 250.
Other special guests include Chris Tomlin, Jonathan Roumie, Eric Metaxas, Sec. Pete Hegseth, Bishop Robert Barron, and Dr. Ben Carson—as well as dozens of faith leaders and Christian performers (see the list below).

Program Overview*
The Occasion: A national faith event marking a “Jubilee” for America’s 250th anniversary.
The Mission: To gather in prayer, worship, and storytelling and to rededicate our country as One Nation Under God.
