Celebrating 250 Years: NRB and Freedom 250 Partner for a Historic Milestone

The year 2026 marks a once-in-a-generation milestone: America’s Semiquincentennial. As we approach the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is stepping up to ensure Christian communicators are at the heart of the celebration.

To kick things off, NRB is inviting the public to a special live, online event that explores how we can honor our past and look toward our future.

A Live Preview of America’s 250th:

On Friday, February 6, NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller will sit down with Rachel Gerli, Chief Partnerships Officer for Freedom 250, for a dynamic conversation about the upcoming national festivities.

Freedom 250 is the non-partisan engine behind the 2026 celebrations, working alongside the White House Task Force 250 and the America250 Commission to create iconic events across the country.

“Freedom 250 is a moment to honor 250 years of American freedom and to reaffirm the faith-rooted values that have guided our nation from its beginning.” — Rachel Gerli

Why This Matters for Christian Media:

This isn’t just about a birthday party; it’s about storytelling. For Christian media professionals, 2026 presents a unique opportunity to:

  • Reflect on the faith-based foundations of American liberty.
  • Collaborate on meaningful content that reaches a national audience.
  • Engage communities through creative and unified messaging.

As Troy A. Miller noted, this milestone is a “unique moment for reflection, unity, and forward-looking engagement,” highlighting the vital role media plays in shaping our shared national story.
