The Lord Who Heals – A Daily Encouragement from Friendship with God
"And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee." — Exodus 15:26 (KJV)
One of the most comforting names of God found in Scripture is “The LORD That Heals.” In Exodus 15:26, God reveals His heart to His people by reminding them that He is their healer.
This promise came with an invitation: to listen carefully to God’s voice, obey His Word, and walk in His ways. While this passage was originally spoken to the nation of Israel, it also reminds believers today of the importance of drawing near to the Lord and trusting Him completely.
True healing is more than physical restoration. God desires to heal hearts, restore hope, strengthen faith, and bring peace to troubled lives. Through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we can experience the comfort, grace, and healing that only He can provide.
