PreBorn! is partnering with PassionLife to support pregnancy clinics around the world with portable ultrasound technology. Through donated handheld ultrasound units, clinics in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean are helping mothers see their babies and receive compassionate support during pregnancy.
Since 2024, ultrasound units have been provided to pregnancy clinics and medical workers in countries including Colombia, Ecuador, Cuba, Rwanda, Cameroon, Chad, the Central African Republic, and Zambia. In areas where ultrasound services can be difficult or unaffordable to access, these portable devices are helping make pregnancy care more available to vulnerable women and families.
PreBorn! and PassionLife have also supported training for pastors, medical professionals, and pregnancy clinic leaders, equipping them to provide practical care and promote the value of motherhood and family.
One example comes from Cameroon, where a young woman named Deb was considering abortion after discovering she was pregnant. After visiting a local pregnancy clinic and seeing her baby on an ultrasound, she chose to continue her pregnancy. She later gave birth, and her story became one of hope and restoration.
In Cuba, former abortion doctor Dr. Jose Guerra now operates a Pregnancy Help Clinic in the same facility where he once performed abortions. With the help of PassionLife, his clinic received a portable ultrasound unit to support its work with women and families.
PreBorn! and PassionLife hope to expand this work by placing additional ultrasound units in Africa, Cuba, and Latin America while continuing to provide training and resources to pregnancy clinics.
Through prayer and financial support, PreBorn! says these efforts are helping provide hope, practical care, and support for mothers and their babies around the world.
