The atmosphere at this year’s Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC) Gala was nothing short of electric. Beautifully embodying their life-changing theme, “Hope Starts Here,” the evening was an inspiring celebration of transformation, resilience, and the profound power of community.
Perched high above the city at the stunning Orange Hill Restaurant, the setting provided a spectacular backdrop. Guests enjoyed sweeping, panoramic views of the stunning Southern California landscape below, where the sparkling city lights perfectly matched the bright, joyful spirit of the evening.
A Humbling Honor for KBRITE Radio.
For the KBRITE Radio team, the evening was defined by immense gratitude and humility as we were presented with the Community Partner Award.
Accepting this recognition was a profound reminder of our core purpose: utilizing our platform to amplify stories of grace, resilience, and transformation across our communities. We extend our deepest thanks to LSSSC for this honor and for their steadfast leadership throughout Southern California.
Scripture of the Night
The mission driving LSSSC’s emergency services and community outreach beautifully aligns with the powerful truth found in scripture:
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
— Hebrews 13:16
Every testimony shared, and every dollar raised during the gala served as a living testament to this verse—a joyful outpouring of resources dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable individuals and families facing hunger and crisis find a bridge to stability and hope.
Key Highlights & Memorable Moments
- A Historic Outpouring of Generosity: The philanthropic spirit in the room was overwhelming. The live auction and community paddle raise generated vital funds that will directly power LSSSC’s surging emergency food banks and critical housing initiatives.
- An Evening of Distinction: Hosted by The Hon. & Mrs. Damon L. Alexander, the event brought together dedicated champions for the Kingdom. KBRITE was proud to stand alongside our fellow 2026 HOPE Awardees, including Jerry Engelhardt and Tovey/Schultz Construction.
- The Power of Fellowship: From the opening reception at 5:00 PM to the final dessert, the evening exemplified the strength of connection, successfully uniting local leaders, passionate advocates, and faith-filled supporters under one shared mission.
